John Paul

John Paul – Esteban Mendoza

I have played many roles in my life, husband for fifteen years, father for ten and pastor for one. I have been acting professionally for seventeen years in theater productions, TV, and film. After a couple years rethinking my acting career, I saw a posting on the Internet for auditions for Los Traficantes. I am honored and thankful for the opportunity of being part of this amazing project.

Erika Flores

Erika Flores – Perla Mendoza

Erika Flores was born in Mexico City and trained at the Stella Adler Conservatory in New York. She has appeared in multiple stage productions in Miami, New York, and Los Angeles. She has also appeared in over 20 films, worked regularly in Spanish soap operas, and is currently writing a feature script. Erika has traveled all over the world, is a trained dancer and boxer, holds an MA in Psychology, and speaks several languages. She is honored to be a part of Los Traficantes and to work with such a talented cast and crew. For more info:

Leonel Oliva

Leonel Oliva – Sergio

Leonel Oliva, born and raised in Miami Florida, graduated from the two year acting program at the Sanford Meisner Studio in Burbank, California. Throughout his short time in California, Leonel has had the pleasure of acting in multiple films and television series. Currently, his first self written and produced film THE SHIFT, starring Leonel alongside Danny Glover, is scheduled for festival release in 2013. He is honored to have been a part of Los Traficantes and to have worked with such a talented cast and crew from all over the world including Tijuana, Mexico. For more info:

Luis Anguiano

Luis Anguiano – Prison Director

Luis Anguiano is a Mexican-American actor based in Los Angeles who features in film and television projects in English and Spanish. He recently appeared as David Montemayor in episode 6 of Blood Relatives. Before that he played Pastor Hector in Guilt and Detective Mendoza in Ash, among other credits.

Kurt Tuffendsam

Kurt Tuffendsam – Producer / Writer

During his late teen years, Kurt developed an insatiable desire to make movies. After graduating from film school and moving to Hollywood in 2003 he spent several years working for accomplished editors Eric Strand (DONNIE DARKO, DEEP BLUE SEA), Stephen Mark, A.C.E. (X-FILES, DEADWOOD), and Daniel Padgett (ROYAL TENENBAUM'S). In 2006, he was hired to produce his first feature film, PLAY DEAD starring Chris Klein, Fred Durst, and Jake Busey. In 2008 He line produced THE JOB starring Ron Perlman, Taryn Manning, and Joe Pantoliano, which won BEST SCREENPLAY at the San Diego Film Festival and was released by Magnolia Pictures.

In 2009 Kurt founded RISE to combine his passion for filmmaking with a deeper desire to inspire the next generation to live for a purpose greater than themselves. Currently through RISE Kurt is developing NOMAD'S LAND - a docu series following nomadic missionaries through Ethiopia, North Africa, and Mongolia and an epic period bio pic based on the life of Hudson Taylor, missionary to China. The Hudson Taylor movie is in collaboration with producer Ken Haron of Half Crown Media and screenwriter Bart Gavigan.

Adam Watson

Adam Watson – Director / Writer

Adam Watson was raised just outside of Los Angeles and has aspired to direct film since a very young age. All his life Adam has had a voracious appetite for cinema of nearly every type and era. Inspired by the work of other great directors through the decades, Adam's passion to be a storyteller was ignited. A graduate of the acclaimed Scottsdale film school, he loves directing projects that create emotional impact, break new ground in filmmaking, and show the audience something they haven't seen before; especially in the format of film features. He currently lives in Burbank, CA.

Tyson Burger

Tyson Burger – Director of Photography

Tyson attended film school at York University in Toronto Canada. His passion and affinity for Cinematography earned him the commendation of "Best Student Cinematography" by the Society of Canadian Cinematographers in 2010. Los Traficantes has profoundly changed and affected his life.

JR Fountain

JR Fountain – Supervising Sound Editor/Re-recording Mixer

J.R. Fountain is a sound designer and re-recording mixer based in Toronto, Canada. For more than a decade he has been plying his craft recording, creating and sculpting sounds for film and television. His work has been recognized with nominations from the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television, the Motion Picture Sound Editors, and a Best Sound Design award from the Giant Screen Cinema Association.

Daniel Padgett

Daniel Padgett – Editor

Born and raised in the San Francisco bay area, Mr. Padgett is a graduate of the University of Oregon. He has worked in post-production in Hollywood in various capacities since 1989 and has edited 10 feature films. Some of his editing credits include Royal Tenenbaums and The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou for director Wes Anderson.

Ben Mason

Ben Mason – Composer

Ben Mason is an active orchestrator, arranger, composer, conductor, pianist, and music producer in Los Angeles. He holds a graduate certificate from the Scoring For Motion Pictures and Television program at the University of Southern California. He also holds graduate degrees in composition and conducting from The Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University and The University of Georgia. His styles range from classical to jazz and pop. In addition to his work in Los Angeles, Ben spends time working in Nashville and Atlanta. For more information:

Marcello Robinson

Marcello Robinson - Casting Director (Los Angeles) / Co-Producer

CEO of The Triple Seven Group (777) and former senior executive at Asylum Entertainment, Marcello is a UCLA alum with eleven years experience as a feature film and television executive. He has cast over thirty feature films, music videos, commercials and shorts, including "The Beat" (Showtime/Sundance), "Red Is The Color Of" (Bear Island Films) and "How Weed Won The West" (Sacred Cow). He is the youngest recipient of the Omni Services Life Model Award. His life story was published on the front page of The Chicago Tribune (Feb 13, 2000) and has been featured on "Good Morning America", CBS, ABC and NBC. Marcello is currently in pre-production on the highly anticipated television series "OnStage" in association with Make It Happen Productions.
